Stegosaurus Model

The model has been carefully sculpted to capture the characteristic anatomy of Stegosaurus, including its low-slung body, arched back, small head, robust limbs and iconic tail spikes. Fine skin texture, subtle muscle definition and natural folds add depth to the sculpt, while the realistic stance gives the dinosaur a convincing sense of weight and presence.

Stegosaurus lived approximately 155–150 million years ago during the Late Jurassic in what is now North America. It reached around 7–9 metres in length and weighed approximately 3–5 tonnes. Despite its large body, Stegosaurus had a relatively small head and a herbivorous diet, feeding primarily on low-growing vegetation.

Its most famous features were the large plates running along its back and the four long spikes at the end of its tail, commonly known as the thagomizer. The exact purpose of the plates remains debated, with theories including display, species recognition and temperature regulation. The tail spikes, however, were likely an important defensive weapon against predators.
